Problem: A client suffered a loss as a result of non-delivery of a consignment of products to three African countries. Pasco was engaged to identify the recipient of the funds and to advise the client about product recovery. Solution: Pasco undertook a forensic computer investigation that identified a senior procurement officer within the client’s organisation who had fraudulently acquired the identity of a number of the client’s suppliers and had diverted the funds to bank accounts controlled in various different countries. Result: Pasco collected computer based evidence that allowed the client to open a criminal case with a law enforcement agency, ultimately resulting in the arrest of the suspects involved and the recovery of a significant portion of the funds. |
