The English Football Association (FA) has nominated Pasco Risk Management, a global risk consultancy with an established head office in South Africa and operations in the UK, USA and India, as one of their three preferred suppliers for protective intelligence and advisory services.

Of the three companies the FA recommends, Pasco is the only South African based company with global representation.

"Although it is the primary responsibility of FIFA and the organising committee to ensure the security of the team and official delegation, the Football Association is working closely with Pasco and other selected partners to ensure that we have access to a wide range of security solutions to deal with potential issues outside of the team and official delegation," said Ray Whitworth of the Football Association.

Pasco has been tasked with providing the 2018 English bid committee as well the English Football Association and their extended entourage with their protective intelligence services including risk analysis and providing an advisory facility.

Pasco has worked fairly extensively with the FA in the past including contracts to assist in providing protective services to David Beckham and other FA dignitaries during the 2010 draw, which took place in Cape Town in December 2009.

According to Pasco CEO George Nicholls, "Pasco has the advantage of a global outlook coupled with local knowledge, which allows us to provide accurate trustworthy information prior to arrival and once the client is on the ground, which is crucial for an event of this stature and the associated risks."
