Pasco's Advisory Group Chairman commended in House of Commons

Our congratulations to Peter Wyman, Chairman of Pasco's Advisory Group, for a very honourable mention in the British Parliament. Peter was commended in the House of Commons during Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday 9th November 2011 for his 'brilliant' idea regarding winter fuel allowances. In his capacity as Chairman of Somerset Community Foundation Peter had suggested enabling people to donate some or all of their winter fuel allowance to those who need it most. Tessa Munt, Member of Parliament for Wells, called on the Prime Minister to congratulate Peter for his suggestion and asked the British government to consider adding an option on the winter fuel allowance letter to pensioners to enable automatic donation to the Community's Surviving Winter Appeal.peter-wyman

Peter brings a wealth of business acumen and financial experience to Pasco Risk Management. During a long and distinguished career as an accountant and partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (1978-2010) Peter also served as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (2002/03) and as Chairman of the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies. He was awarded a CBE in 2006 for his services to the accountancy profession. We are most fortunate in Pasco to benefit from his wise advice through his service at the head of our Advisory Group.

Peter is also Chairman of Sir Richard Sutton's Settled Estates, Treasurer of the University of Bath, Chairman of the Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee at the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufactures and Science.
