Pasco's continued appointment to act as an inspector for the Council for Medical Schemes was upheld by the Council recently. Pasco has been appointed, on behalf of the Council, to investigate alleged financial irregularities at a well known South African Medical scheme. The appointment of an inspector was previously challenged by the medical scheme in an effort to curtail the investigation. The Council heard arguments in Pretoria recently and a decision was handed down that the investigation should proceed unfettered. Pasco CEO George Nicholls commented, "the decision by the Council demonstrates that regulation of South African medical schemes by the Council applies consistently throughout the industry and proves to be effective".373684_126756667407558_1971843996_n
